Roel Van Den Berk

Short biography

Originally from the Netherlands, Roel is a seasoned industry professional with work experience in the Middle East, USA and Asia. Roel has a varied background in opening new parks and attractions which has given him an in-depth understanding of the structures, systems and culture needed to operate successfully. After his studies in Leisure Management and having worked at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, Roel moved to the Middle East to be part of the pre-opening team at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and then Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi. He then moved to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi before joining the pre-opening team of Water World Ocean Park in Hong Kong where he serves as the Director of Guest Experiences and Operations. In this role, he leads the overall daily operations of the park and its departments.
