IAAPA Global Theme and Amusement Park Outlook 2018-2022

The IAAPA Global Theme and Amusement Park Outlook is an overview of the global theme and amusement park industry based on data collected in 2017 and 2018. It also provides an outlook forecast for the years 2018 -2022. 
  
The report contains historical information on attendance and average spending per patron.  It presents information on the North America, Europe, Middle East/Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions.

The report is produced by Wilkofsky Gruen Associates (WGA), an internationally-known consultancy that specializes in the entertainment, media, and telecommunications industries, and is funded by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

IAAPA North America Economic Impact Study

The IAAPA North America  Economic Impact Study estimates direct and indirect economic impacts for the attractions industry in the North America region. 

Data was provided for key countries/states/provinces including United States, Canada, Florida, California, and Ontario. The study provides revenue impacts, employment numbers, and employee compensation for the attractions and for off-site visitor spending generated by their visit to the attraction.

The overview includes information on the tax rates for attractions companies, tourism policies, the cost of importing attractions equipment, the process for importing attractions equipment, and the labor policies affecting the attractions industry in Latin America. The study covers theme/amusement parks, water parks, and family entertainment centers (FECs). The data is presented by region and by country.

The IAAPA Economic Impact of the Attractions Industry in Latin America study provides estimates of numbers of facilities, attendance, revenues, off-site spending, employment, and employee compensation for Latin American and Caribbean countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. The study covers theme/amusement parks, water parks, and family entertainment centers (FECs). 

The study provides sales, employment, and employee compensation from the attractions themselves, as well as those supported by off-site visitor spending on expenditures such as hotels, restaurants, shopping, and transportation because of their visit to the attraction.

IAAPA European Amusement and Theme Park Industry: An Assessment of Economic Impact, 2014

The assessment provides estimates of economic impact based on a sample of attractions, previous studies and other published data. The study provides estimates of the scale of visits, revenue, employees and marketing expenditure across the 17 member states of the European Union that have theme and amusement parks plus Norway and Switzerland, together with estimates of the direct, indirect and induced economic impact of the attractions. 

The output does not include estimates of the off-site economic impact of visitors to theme and amusement parks.
