Joel Ward

Short biography

Joel Ward is a 30 year veteran of the attraction, resort development and travel industry, bringing a unique blend of operations, marketing, strategic planning, and business development to world-renowned projects. Previously, Joel was with MR-ProFun, overseeing business operations in Asia for the attractions management company as Senior Vice President of Operations. With them, he worked on the development of large scale cultural attraction and tourism projects in China, Vietnam and Malaysia. In this role, he led all aspects of operations planning, development and management services. He began his career with an 18 year stint at Universal Studios Hollywood, where he was a key participant in the transformation of the studio theme park from tourist attraction to world-class destination. During his time there, he held leadership roles in both operations and marketing through a period of tremendous growth and expansion. After Universal, Mr. Ward led the creation of the location based entertainment division for DreamWorks Animation. In this new business unit, he developed the business strategy, pursued licensing opportunities and oversaw the creative development of DreamWorks theme park and live entertainment projects worldwide.
