Short biography

- Belinda Falzon is part of the TEEG Group, one of the world's largest Family Entertainment and Edutainment Centre groups, with leading operations across Asia Pacific. TEEG has 324 venues, across 4 brands of Timezone, Zone Bowling, Play N Learn and Kingpin. - Belinda has two roles within TEEG, firstly, Chief Operations Officer (COO) where she oversees the full business operations of both New Zealand, and all venues under the premium brand, Kingpin. Her second role is Group Chief People Officer (CPO) where she holds the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of people, talent, and culture functions across APAC for the 10,000 strong TEEG team. - Belinda has experience across FEC and hospitality industries as well as experience in the retail and consumer/wholesale industries. Belinda has held leadership positions at Ardent Leisure Group, Pacific Brands – Sheridan, Bras N Things, and Specialty Fashion Group, where she managed multiple venue locations and was responsible for various business departments including HR, sales, and operations. - As an FEC operator, guest and team safety is always of the upmost importance, but since an FEC’s target audience is marketed towards families with small children to teenagers, it is every leader's responsibility to be aware of the specific hazards that children face in our environments and ensure there are proactive measures in place to protect both the health and well-being of our youngest guests. - TEEG has spent the last 12months researching child safety best practise, policies and legislation across many industries, from around the world, to develop a framework that ensures best practise is implemented in the day-to-day operations of running an FEC and keeping children safe. This program is called Kidsafe. Kidsafe is a program that TEEG has built not just specific to their brand, but an initiative that can be adapted by all FEC operators – child safety is everyone’s responsibility especially in the FEC industry, regardless of the company, the product or the region of the world. - Join Belinda for a keynote presentation on the Kidsafe Framework, followed by a roundtable discussion on child safety and other risks that are present for FEC operators.
