Description
Join the IAAPA Water Park Committee for a casual lunch and networking session. Make new connections and share experiences with fellow water park operators! Hear from Andreas Andersen and Thomas Sjöstrand as they explore the genesis of Oceana, Liseberg’s highly anticipated new water park opening in 2024. With construction beginning in 2019 and as part of Liseberg’s 2023 ultimate centennial celebration, Andreas will share key learnings from the development of this unique indoor water park along with how his team has navigated the challenges of bringing this ambitious project to life.
Andreas and Thomas take us on a journey through the development of Oceana, one of the largest water parks under construction in Northern Europe. Combining Liseberg’s unique DNA with rich history of Gothenburg and the East India Company, Oceana will feature 14,000 square meters of aquatic fun for all ages. With up to 500,000 annual guests expected, Oceana is set to transform the guest experience at Liseberg and make waves within the water park industry.
Andreas and Thomas will share how their team carefully crafted every aspect of Oceana through the development process. From the design that provides guests with an unforgettable experience, with relaxing sandy beaches to adrenaline-pumping water rides to the market and feasibility studies and financial modeling that have guided their team’s strategic choices. Through their stories and insights, Andreas and Thomas will demonstrate how Oceana is a shining example of the power of imagination, and innovation that is shaping the future of attractions industry.
We invite you to dive into the world of Oceana and gain an inside look on how this unique attraction is making it’s mark in the attractions industry in 2024!
