We’re now a month away from IAAPA Virtual Conference: EMEA and APAC and our speakers from both regions couldn’t be more excited to share their timely expert insights on the future and transforming the attractions industry. From September 22 to 24, this three-day virtual event will offer more than 20 educational sessions for senior attractions industry leaders in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific regions. Attendees can expect the same level of in-depth expert insight they would experience at IAAPA Expo Europe in the sessions, keynotes, roundtables, and IAAPA EDUTours; and can earn credits toward IAAPA Certification.
The education conference will be available completely online and combines classroom-style learning with a forum for exchanging perspectives with peers from EMEA and Asia-Pacific. Each day features sessions about one of three key themes: Leadership & Team Management (September 22), Marketing (September 23), and Attractions Operations (September 24).
A keynote session kicks off every day of the program. This year’s keynote speakers are:
- Tom Mehrmann, president and general manager, Universal Studios Beijing Park and Resort
- David Lämmel, director marketing, sales and digital, Europa-Park
- Gina Claassen, corporate safety director, Herschend Family Entertainment
A mix of education sessions round out the rest of the day and cover topics relevant to today’s rapidly evolving industry, like:
- Leading an organization through change, with Andreas Andersen, president and CEO, Liseberg
- Providing continuous leadership as an attraction changes, with Ali Alsuwaidi, COO, Global Village
- Retail operations, with Brad Loxley, COO, Sun World Holding Vietnam
- Balancing guest capacity with guest experience, with a panel including Lukas Metzger, head of park operations, Europa-Park and Coen Bertens, director themepark, Efteling
- Successful cooperation between facilities and other businesses, with Stephanie Schaub, CEO, Chocoversum
- Resilient leadership, with Mario O. Mamon, chairman and president, and Cynthia R. Mamon, chief operating officer, Enchanted Kingdom Inc.
In addition to the education conference, this online event will also include virtual EDUTours. Like in-person IAAPA EDUTours, the virtual version will take attendees behind the scenes of popular attractions to see operations and innovation firsthand.
Each day closes with a roundtable on the theme. Conversation will be guided and will attendees will have the opportunity to share their expertise with each other.
Conference attendees will earn 15 CEU toward IAAPA Certification. All sessions will be presented in English and connection to the platform requires use of VoIP services. For more information, visit IAAPA.org/VirtualEMEA-APAC.
