Bunratty Castle & Folk Park: The 15th century Bunratty Castle was restored in the 1960s and features a collection of medieval furnishings. Bunratty’s 19th century Folk Park is set on 26 acres and includes more than 30 buildings in a re-created “living” village and rural setting.
King John’s Castle: More than 800 years of history are presented at the castle’s visitor center with activities and exhibits that incorporate touch screens, animations, projections, and 3D models. In the courtyard, blacksmiths forge tools and actors reenact a 17th-century siege.
Craggaunowen: Through the Living Past Experience, visitors can explore what life was like for early Bronze Age settlers. Sites include the Brendan Boat, Crannog lake dwelling, Souterrain (underground passages), and Ring Fort, a reproduction of a farmer’s house from the fourth or fifth century.
