IAAPA Releases Second Edition of Reopening Guidance: Considerations for the Attractions Industry
Dear IAAPA Members,
The global attractions industry is renowned for safely bringing people together to create memories. Now more than ever, IAAPA remains committed to serving, supporting, and advocating for you as together we focus on safe reopenings and welcoming back guests to attractions around the world.
As our communities reopen, we must continue to remain vigilant and remind our teams and guests to follow the important guidelines for mask use, physical distancing, enhanced sanitation protocols, and frequent handwashing. All eyes are on our industry to demonstrate how to safely welcome guests. We also have a responsibility to help government officials and the public understand how our reopening guidelines are consistent with our industry’s long-standing commitment to providing safe and fun experiences. By following guidance from local health officials and reinforcing new attractions industry protocols with our guests and each other, we are helping ensure facilities remain open, and we are setting standards to inspire other businesses as well.
The Second Edition of the free member resource, “COVID-19 Reopening Guidance: Considerations for the Global Attractions Industry,” is now available. This edition has brand-new content and updated, refined language for guidelines and safety protocols. New content is identified throughout the document as “New” and includes guidance for:
- A team COVID-19 training outline
- Ziplines and aerial courses
- Miniature golf facilities
- Bowling centers
- Birthday parties
- And more.
Please pay particular attention to the updated content as it reflects new or refined guidance from leading health authorities and input from members around the world.
