The global vision for the future starts deep inside Puy du Fou, according to Nicolas de Villiers, chairman and artistic director of Puy du Fou International. To nurture tomorrow’s talent, he launched the Puy du Fou Académie in 2015. The school welcomes 200 students a year, and children receive school lessons and training in the performing arts. The program that fosters academic and artistic excellence is a natural extension of Puy du Fou’s Junior Academy, which started in 1998. It gives more than 600 young people a year access to 33 courses, ranging from drama and dance to equestrian vaulting. Scenery and prop design and videography are other areas of discipline. Both initiatives create a formidable talent pool. Youngsters “educated in the Puy du Fou universe” can “take care of our expansion in other countries,” says de Villiers.
