Andreas Sievering, CEO of Fort Fun (Germany), will share his experience and learnings after a serious incident on Fort Fun’s alpine coaster. He will discuss how the park responded following the incident and the importance of leading communications with empathy. Andreas will share why he decided to personally respond to all press interviews and his thoughts looking back on that decision.

Andreas became CEO of FORT FUN in 2015, after running the park as General Manager for 2 years. He was the Technical Manager of the park from 2008 to 2013 under the company name of One World NRW. As a technical expert, Andreas established a historical maintenance and refurbishment program which revitalized the park. He also created and developed 2 entertainment projects which boosted the popularity of the site; the award-winning show “Holy Forest” and “ Fort Fear”, one of the best Halloween events in Germany. This year, Fort Fun has just opened its new children’s area L.A.B.S. Andreas has a technical background that he developed before joining the Attractions Industry. He worked as a carpenter, a boat builder, and a technical officer of a ski resort. Andreas is also a coach of the junior soccer team TSV Bigge Olsberg.
