Overview of the Foundation

On October 28, 2010, The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced the recent establishment of the IAAPA Foundation to fund the development of research and creation of education programs for the worldwide attractions industry.

In order to support the industry and IAAPA, the IAAPA Foundation exists to help the industry present itself as a community provider of quality of life, jobs, training and as a customer for many community vendors; as an expert voice on facts, information and research about the industry; and as an important industry partner in the health and well-being of industry participants, large and small.

The IAAPA Foundation, a separate nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, will focus exclusively on the reach, depth, and scope of the programs, products, and services available to the attractions industry. The Foundation will cultivate resources to compile research and enhance training and education for attractions industry professionals, provide industry research and data, facilitate the sharing of best practices within the industry, clarify and articulate the needs of the industry, promote the value and benefits of safe, family-friendly experiences, and reinforce the global influence and responsibility of the industry.

The Foundation is located at IAAPA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. Jeanne Luschin is the director of development for the foundation.
