Overview of the Foundation:
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) established the IAAPA Foundation to fund programs to benefit the worldwide attractions industry. The IAAPA Foundation is a separate non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation and its purpose is to develop programs focused on (1) the recruitment and development talent (2) that inspire skilled leadership and (3) that inspire tomorrow’s workforce with a focus on diversity.
In order to fulfill the IAAPA Foundation’s initiatives the Foundation works with education partners offering programs and degrees in the hospitality and leisure industry in order to attract talent into the industry from the educational partner programs. The Foundation focuses on setting up programs that will include mentoring, scholarships, internships and industry outreach to develop talent once in the industry. The Foundation diversifies the industry workforce by partnering with non-profit organizations promoting social impact programs in order to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth by offering opportunities to work within the industry.
The IAAPA Foundation inspires life-changing careers in the global attractions industry by cultivating tomorrow’s leaders.
