Energy filled the air as industry leaders united on stage during the Opening Ceremony, officially launching IAAPA Expo 2023. Attendees became immersed in what’s new in the attractions industry.
Jakob Wahl, president and CEO of IAAPA, shared opening remarks including an expression of gratitude for IAAPA’s team, before inviting attendees to tomorrow's Member Meeting.
“This is ultimately your association. IAAPA is about celebrating you guys,” remarks Wahl. The reimagined ceremony was divided into the four seasons, each opening with live entertainers from Element Entertainment Productions, Norwegian Cruise Line, SeaWorld Orlando, and Walt Disney World’s Epcot.
After a lively lookback of Jim Pattison Jr.’s year of visiting members around the globe as Chairman of the Board, chairmanship was transferred to Wuthichai Luangamornlert.
“In all the things we’ve been through, what I found is I’ve been inspired by meeting with you and seeing what you do and how you do it and how you adapt to whatever the obstacles are that are in the room,” reflected Pattison on the tenacity of IAAPA members.
Luangamornlert told attendees, “We are in support of members and friends. I am very honored to be your Chair of 2024.”
