As the trade association for the global attractions industry, IAAPA is focused on member health and safety. The current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation impacts the attractions industry around the world.
Since the news of COVID-19 began, IAAPA has been in constant communication with global members, and monitoring and sharing advice from leading worldwide health authorities including the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. IAAPA has connected members with each other to help share best practices and protocols, discuss and examine cleaning and hygiene procedures, and recommend any necessary adjustments to operations based on guidance from public health authorities.
IAAPA members employ high standards and operate clean, safe, and fun destinations. This remains true as they react to this global situation, whether implementing even greater standards at their venues or, out of an abundance of caution, voluntarily making the critical decision to temporarily cease operations, or postpone the start of a season. IAAPA supports its members as they make these decisions for the benefit of their employees and guests.
As the coronavirus situation continues, the global attractions industry remains vigilant and continues to make business decisions that focus on the health and safety of guests and employees, while also looking ahead and planning for the return to regular operation.
IAAPA has created a dedicated resource center for members about COVID-19. Current information and relevant links can be found here.
