What's New - September 2019
An Elevation of Selfie Technology
Picsolve, a photo and video capture partner for visitor destinations, announced the launch of its new Epic Selfie technology, which is an evolution of the Super Selfie the company introduced last year in partnership with Panora.me. Epic Selfie debuted in June at IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 in Shanghai. It places visitors in fantastic destinations and provides highly shareable “bitesize” video that starts with a selfie and zooms out to reveal a panoramic backdrop. This way, it allows attractions to capture and transport visitors to worlds beyond the realm of possibility, like overlooking the Shanghai skyline or submerged in an underwater adventure.
Fast-Action Arcade Basketball
Andamiro USA Corp. recently began shipping its new fast-action arcade sports game Basketball Pro for game rooms, sports bars, and street locations. The game boasts a compact footprint and ships as a ticket-redemption game, while for street locations, it can be modified for nonticket play. Andamiro says Basketball Pro’s distinguishing feature is the player interface consisting of two controllers the size and shape of real basketballs. Players pound the large external balls to shoot the little basketballs inside the play zones. The air-powered interface lets players control all their shots. The game’s two-player stations allow for single play or side-by-side competitive play. The two backboards move up and down as players propel the mini balls at them.
