IAAPA Rookies and Newcomers: FEC 101
Saturday, Nov. 16 – Monday, Nov. 18
IAAPA Rookies and Newcomers: FEC 101 is a three-day program for those looking to become a family entertainment center (FEC) operator or for those who would like to grow their network and refine their business skills. FEC management experts will share insights and experiences on how to develop, plan, and run an FEC. The itinerary includes a welcome reception at Main Event Orlando, a full day of classroom learning at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, an EDUTour to Fun Spot America, reserved seating at Monday’s Lunch and Learn event, and admission to Monday evening’s FEC Reception.
IAAPA Safety Institute
Sunday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The IAAPA Safety Institute will provide an opportunity for attractions operators and owners to examine guest and employee safety and the safe operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Attractions safety experts, industry consultants, manufacturers, and operators from around the business will present the latest developments and best practices in ride standards, loss prevention, risk management, ride design, and safety compliance.
IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers
Sunday, Nov. 17 – Tuesday, Nov. 19
The IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers is the industry’s premier professional development program for leaders with five or fewer years of experience in attractions management. The two-and-a-half-day program blends classroom instruction with case study examinations and small group presentations. Topics will include finance, leadership, revenue operations, facility operations, and safety.
Tuesday, Nov. 19, 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
The IAAPA Human Resources (HR) Symposium is designed for HR professionals, who will learn about developing effective training programs, training strategies and techniques, and how to best implement technology in the training process. The leadership program will include an EDUTour to Universal Orlando Resort, lunch, education sessions, and an evening networking event.
In addition to Monday’s Lunch and Learn: The Emergence of Authentic Reality, several learning lunches will take place during the Expo. Participants can enjoy lunch with industry colleagues while learning and participating in sessions that focus on their regions and communities.
