Gigantic Indoor Multilevel Karting Track Opens
Supercharged Entertainment celebrated the opening of what it’s billing as the world’s largest indoor multilevel go-karting track and entertainment facility. Located in Wrentham, Massachusetts, the 125,000-square-foot facility features a temperature-controlled karting center, a first-of-its-kind “Ninja Wipeout Arena” inspired by the “American Ninja Warrior” TV show, a trampoline zone, expansive gaming area and prize center, and a full-service bar and restaurant called the Thirsty Beaver Hometown Pub & Grub.
All of Supercharged Entertainment’s electric go-karts are 18 horsepower, which the family entertainment center (FEC) says provides tremendous torque and acceleration on the 80,000-square-foot track. All guests at least 58 inches tall are welcome on the track. “Ninja Wipeout Arena” features wipeout balls, a ninja chute, monkey rings, a trapeze, spinning logs, cave crawl, and spider and lava pits. The obstacles are designed to encourage progression of skill so beginners and elite athletes alike can both experience the same course at different levels of difficulty.
Supercharged Entertainment is the inspiration of Stephen and Sandra Sangermano, Rhode Island residents who serve as the FEC’s president and CEO, respectively, and worked five years to accomplish their vision for the facility.
Jungle Island to Magically Illuminate Wildlife This Fall
Jungle Island, an eco-adventure attraction located in Miami, Florida, will reinvent an ancient Buddhist tradition with its new “Luminosa! Festival of Lights.”
According to Jungle Island, “Luminosa” will take guests on a journey through light across 13 of the park’s 18 acres, telling a magical story of the jungle that begins with an exploration of wildlife, birds, blooms, and more. Some of the visual highlights will include oversized orchids and flowers, a sea of glowing jellyfish in Biscayne Bay, and some of the world’s rarest animals. A 100-foot-wide by 20-foot-tall panoramic scene of Miami’s most iconic destinations will be decked out in Chinese graffiti art in the “Miami Style” exhibit. In partnership with Zigong Lantern Group of China Lantern International, the park will showcase the light display from Oct. 5, 2019, to Jan. 8, 2020.
