‘Mardi Gras Carnival’ Brings New Orleans Spirit to Six Flags Mexico
New Orleans arrived in Mexico City this year—just in time for Mardi Gras. For the third year in a row, Six Flags Mexico hosted the “Mardi Gras Carnival” from March through early May, where visitors were treated to a family-friendly parade with themed floats, live jazz music, and dancing. The parade featured eight uniquely designed floats, four of them completely new, and more than 100 performers in colorful outfits. Guests had the opportunity to participate in the parade by riding on the floats and throwing gold, green, and purple necklaces to spectators. Additionally, the park took it one step further by bringing the New Orleans food scene to guests, who enjoyed traditional favorites such as jambalaya, bourbon baby back ribs, and funnel cakes.
Museo de Los Niños Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary with Memories
Costa Rica’s Museo de Los Niños (Children’s Museum) recently celebrated its 25th anniversary by creating a living history to commemorate all of the memories made at the museum. “Castillo de los Sueños” (“Castle of Dreams”) is a compilation of stories, anecdotes, videos, and photos from the guests who have visited the museum throughout the past two-and-a-half decades. The museum asked the public to submit their favorite memories and then used them to create an audiovisual time capsule, which was showcased at a variety of anniversary events throughout April.
