Topgolf Monterrey Breaks Ground in Mexico
Ventura Entertainment recently broke ground on the first location in Mexico for Topgolf, a popular golf entertainment and sports center. The concept, which allows visitors of all ages to hit the driving range in a fun, social atmosphere, will be made up of three floors with 90 climate-controlled hitting bays in Monterrey, Mexico. Topgolf provides participants with a variety of games they can play as a team—or against one another—leveraging golf balls with microchips that mark the distance and precision of a shot. When a player hits a ball, the interactive screen in the bay will show where the ball landed relative to on-field targets, which range from 5 to 23 meters in diameter. What also sets Topgolf apart from a typical driving range are the food and drink options, which are delivered right to the hitting bays. The experience also features music and a festive atmosphere.
Snowland Unveils Its ‘Ice Slide’ Attraction
Now that’s cold. Brazil’s Snowland, an indoor snow park located in the southern part of the country in Gramado, recently opened its newest attraction: “Ice Slide.” The 29-foot-high slide sends thrillseekers shooting down the ice on a tube. The “Ice Slide” joins a number of other cold-weather attractions open to visitors, including an ice skating facility, a snow playground for children, and even an indoor downhill ski slope.
“Since the opening in October 2013, Snowland has received about 2 million visitors,” says Paulo Mentone, CEO of Snowland Gramado. “This great number is because of constant investments in entertainment, innovation, and customer service excellence.”
