Inside Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ Strategy to Share News-Worthy Updates
Park president and self-proclaimed Six Flags Fiesta Texas “caretaker,” Jeffrey Siebert, shares with IAAPA News how the park’s marketing strategy uses a different approach to share news of future capital improvements. In lieu of a traditional press conference with PR representatives and news outlets on hand, Fiesta Texas opts to share announcements of what’s next with the park’s most loyal guests.
During normal park hours on a busy Saturday in August, Siebert and his team presented their second annual FT92 Fan Event, which is free with park admission. Inside an air-conditioned entertainment venue, fans gathered for a presentation highlighting accomplishments, news, and future plans. It’s a “state of the park” that Siebert started in 2022 in celebration of Fiesta Texas’ 30th anniversary, changing the norm of how the amusement park connect with guests and create buzz around capital expenditures.
