IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean Hosts First IAAPA Entertainment Industry Conference
More than 160 attractions and entertainment industry leaders and operators attended the first IAAPA Entertainment Industry Conference in Mexico City to discuss trends and the future of the industry and hear local and international perspectives and best practices from 27 speakers. Held Sept. 4-5 at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma Hotel, the conference featured five education tracks—excellence and leadership, innovation and trends, marketing and sales, safety, and sustainability—allowing attendees to choose the education sessions that best aligned with their interests and businesses.
Paulina Reyes, vice president of IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean and executive director, welcomed attendees to the event, followed by a presentation from 2019 IAAPA Chairman of the Board David Rosenberg, ICAE, on “The Business of Sustainability” that kicked off the two-day program of education sessions centered on topics including digital marketing, growth and expansion, immersive experiences, souvenirs, theming, and more. In between sessions, participants had time to network with new and familiar colleagues.
The next IAAPA Entertainment Industry Conference will take place Sept. 2-3, 2020, in Cancun, Mexico, with IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers taking place ahead of the conference from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.
