Knott’s Berry Farm will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as part of this summer-long celebration, the California park will revive its iconic “Knott’s Bear-y Tales” that ran 1975-1986.
The new 4D interactive dark ride, “Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair,” will be designed by Triotech (Booth #1954), which will provide the scenic theming and produce the animation and gaming system.
“This is our largest project ever,” said Ernest Yale, Triotech’s founder, president, and CEO, during the announcement on the show floor.
“Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair” will take guests on a journey through reimagined show scenes reminiscent of the original dark ride, including the Boysenberry Pie Factory, Frog Forest, Fortune Teller Camp, Thunder Cave, and Weird Woods, culminating in a celebration at the County Fair.
“The goal for us is to capture the spirit, creativity, and originality of ‘Knott’s Bear-y Tales,’” Yale said. “It’s what made that ride such a great success.”
