8:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
The IAAPA Human Resources (HR) Symposium program is designed for HR Managers, Directors, VP's, and all guest-facing leaders. Attendees will learn from industry leaders representing global and local theme parks, family entertainment centers, museums, aquariums, zoos, theaters, and more. This years’ program will focus organizational preparedness when a pandemic such as COVID-19 strikes.
From an HR standpoint, this crisis touched every facet of the organization. How do we balance decisions that impact staff and operations in the absence of revenue? How do we square economics and public health? How do we maintain cultural integrity with our mission and vision during the time of crisis? And, what strategies must we employ to get our people and facilities up and running again? This experience has given us all the opportunity to look at how we take care of our people during such a disruption in our day-to-day operations.
In this full day program, we will explore:
- Lessons learned from being thrust into a global pandemic
- Preparing our teams emotionally for what is to come
- Finding the opportunities within the chaos
- Trusting your long-term vision and avoiding hasty decisions
- Understanding and flexing to the new normal of operations
Participants are encouraged to bring their current Emergency Action Plans to the session to share best practices and identify areas for improvement.
