IAAPA recently published the new IAAPA Europe Economic Impact Study. This study reviews the economic impact of the attractions industry within 16 countries in Europe. During this IAAPA Webinar learn about the revenue, employment, payroll, and tax impact the attractions industry has in Europe. Each country will be profiled, and data compared to the 2020 – 2023 growth projection in the IAAPA Global Outlook report.

Melissa Teates, CAE

Director, Industry Research and Analysis

Melissa has experience in business research, analysis, writing and project management. Her forte is taking myriads amounts of information and finding the key data that brings clarity to business issues and points to solutions.

She has held the positions of International Economist at the Association for Manufacturing Technology, Director of Industry Information and Research at the Paperboard Packaging Council and Director of Research at the American Society of Travel Agents. Currently, Melissa is the Director of Industry Research and Analysis for IAAPA.

At IAAPA, Melissa manages the Benchmarking report series, the Global Theme and Amusement Parks Outlook, and any ad hoc research projects. She also oversees the Market Penetration and Economic Impact studies for all four geographic regions (US-Canada, Latin America-Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and Europe-Middle East/Africa). Further, Melissa is responsible for analyzing and presenting data from IAAPA’s research program in multiple formats as well as marketing the availability of research to the membership.

Melissa received a B.S. in Political Science from James Madison University, where she spent a lot of time programming in SPSS to analyze political data. She received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from ASAE in 2007 and has renewed her CAE in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
