Speakers
Greg Loewen
Greg has been leading Digonex as CEO since 2014. Prior to that, he served in a variety of leadership roles in the media industry with Emmis (Digonex’s parent company) and Torstar Corporation in Toronto, Canada. Greg began his career in the strategy consulting industry with Monitor Company (now Monitor Deloitte).
Greg holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. Outside of work, Greg is actively involved in the arts community in his current hometown of Indianapolis, serving as the Board Chair of the Indianapolis Symphony.
Phil Whitney
Phil is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at New York Cruise Lines, the premier maritime sightseeing, entertainment, dining, and transportation company that owns iconic brands Circle Line, New York Water Taxi, North River Lobster Company and La Barca Cantina.
Formerly, Phil worked at American Express Publishing and Time Inc. in a variety of senior publishing positions overseeing international licensing and the digital brands of Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, and Departures. Phil started his career at Time Inc. working at Money Magazine during the heyday of publishing. Phil has licensed media brands in Russia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, and Europe.
Phil currently lives in Westchester County with his wife, and has two children in college.
Patricia Fraser
As Vice President of Guest Relations, Patricia Fraser ensures a seamlessly joyful and welcoming experience for guests of Shedd Aquarium, all while championing the experiential brand through all touchpoints with guests. She earned an MA in Nonprofit Management from Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership, and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Heather McLaren
Since 2015, Heather has worked as Senior Director of Guest Relations, leading a team of over 100 customer service professionals who support the Shedd Aquarium’s guests. Heather is charged with influencing all aspects of the guest experience to create a seamless and satisfying experience for nearly 2 million guests per year. She is responsible for continuously improving guest satisfaction, setting and achieving attendance goals, and driving revenue through onsite visitation and mission-connected programming. Prior to joining Shedd, she spent 15 years in guest relations and ticketing for theaters and museums.
Randal Stancik
Randal has been the General Manager of Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower since 2007. He provides executive leadership and provides marketing and communications direction for Willis Tower’s management initiatives. He has led multiple redevelopments, including creating The Ledge, an unforgettable glass floor experience that helped earn Skydeck Chicago a Trip Advisor Top 10 Worldwide Attraction award. He has transformed the tower into Chicago’s premier office, retail, and entertainment location.
Randal specializes in developing memorable guest experiences, creating new revenue sources, maximizing mainstream revenue, developing guest/staff interactivity, and improving operational efficiencies. As spokesperson for Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower, he has conducted over 800 television, radio, print, and online interviews including Good Morning America, The Today Show and The Ellen Show.
