Safety is the attractions industry's main pillar and priority: safety for guests, for employees, and safe equipment and facilities operation and maintenance. 

The IAAPA Safety Institute virtual offers introductory content about safety, as an opportunity for entry-level parks and attractions operators, and anyone with an interest in the attractions industry safety, to learn about safety standards and their application to attractions, risk management, and best practices of operation and maintenance.

Más de 10 años de experiencia en la industria del entretenimiento, ha sido gerente de operaciones y mantenimiento del parque Mundo Petapa; además colaboró en el equipo del parque Xetulul que consiguió el premio Applause Award en el año 2008; su valioso desempeño en las áreas de operaciones, mantenimiento y seguridad lo han llevado al puesto que ahora ocupa. 

Jorge Mario ha sido también catedrático en diferentes universidades en Guatemala; tiene un Máster en ingeniería de Mantenimiento y es Ingeniero Mecánico Industrial. Participa en el comité F24 de ASTM y fue parte del Subcomité de Seguridad para América Latina de IAAPA, además de participar en seminarios en línea y otros Institutos de IAAPA.

Diego began his 19-year experience in the amusement industry as a ride operator, later changing to ride supervisor, from where he moved to the park's admissions area, holding the position of manager. Later he held the position of safety manager also at Six Flags Mexico, and later as operations manager. Thanks to his efforts, he is now the director of operations.

Always concerned about professional development, Diego has several certifications, among them, as Level II Operations Technician by AIMS International, Methodology counter-terrorism, Active Shooters and Homeland Security; as well as Verbal judo. He has also participated as a presenter in several IAAPA webinars.
