The IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers is the attractions industry’s premier development program for professionals with five or fewer years’ experience in management.

The intensive two-and-a-half-day program offers a blend of classroom instruction led by industry experts, case study examinations, and small group presentations. Participants receive a detailed workbook with additional references and online support material. IAAPA Institute for Attraction Managers participants will leave with a solid understanding of the key disciplines and processes required to manage a successful attraction.

The Institute covers the following five core subject areas: 

  1. Attractions Finance: managing capital, expense and revenue budgeting, and other financial tools.
  2. Attractions Marketing: marketing, media relations, advertising, group sales, and public relations.
  3. Attractions Leadership: human resources development strategies
  4. Facility Operations and Safety: industry regulation, facility management best practices, and crisis management.
  5. Attractions Revenue Operations: food and beverage, merchandise, pay-per-experience attractions, and rental services revenue.

Victor Danau is a theme park and finance nerd. He was saved from a dull life on Wall St by the business of fun.  

As the Director of Operations & Development for the Asia Pacific region at Ripley Entertainment, Victor supports local franchisees and company owned locations across the region and works on developing new partnerships for Ripley’s collection of family entertainment brands. Ripley Entertainment owns or franchises more than 100 attractions across 11 countries and is the leader in Unbelievable Family Entertainment. 

Previously, Victor served as COO for N Kid Corp which owns and operates more than 25 family entertainment centers and attractions throughout Vietnam under the tiNiworld brand, leading multiple teams including marketing, operations, maintenance, and creative design.  

Prior to joining N Kid in 2015, Victor served as the Director of Education Programs & Services for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) where he helped lead the organization’s training and development programs across the globe. Before joining the IAAPA team in 2013, Victor served as the Admissions & Guest Relations Manager for Six Flags America in Largo, MD. Having started as an intern at the park in 2008, Victor took on multiple roles within the operations team including Senior Supervisor, Training & Scheduling Supervisor, and Area Supervisor. 

In addition, Victor chairs the IAAPA Asia Membership Subcommittee and serves on the Global Membership and Young Professional Committees. He has developed and presented safety, guest service, and finance courses for various industry forums including IAAPA, AIMS Safety Seminar, and International Ride Training’s iROC school.  

Victor earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the George Washington University School of Business and completed his MBA from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the entertainment and real estate industry, Mr. Dvorchak is an experienced land-use economist. His practice specialty is the analysis of integrated and unique projects combining traditional real estate development with entertainment land uses such as theme parks, casinos, and destination resorts. Mr. Dvorchak is a founding partner of Pro Forma Advisors, having brought together experienced land use professionals over a decade ago to create a firm dedicated to independent market and financial analysis of land use. Pro Forma Advisors has completed over 700 studies on every continent. Prior to founding Pro Forma Advisors, Mr. Dvorchak was a Vice President at Economics Research Associates (ERA) where he was a principal in the Recreation Practice. He also was a Product Manager at Iwerks Entertainment working on product development and Location Based Entertainment. Prior to his graduate degree, he worked in technology for Andersen Consulting and Unify Software.

Mark received an M.B.A from the UCLA’s Anderson School of Management in 1994 specializing in entertainment and strategy. He also has a B.S degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois. Mr. Dvorchak represents Pro Forma Advisors in the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). Mr. Dvorchak has presented and moderated panels are many industry events such as the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the TEA Summit, and G2E Asia.
