IAAPA’s certification program is an equivalency program and is assessed by the number of years experience and number of hours of professional development a candidate has achieved. To prepare you for certification, use this Credit Hours Estimator to calculate the number of credit hours you think you have earned.
Credit hours can be earned from a variety of sources including participation in many of IAAPA’s events, your facility’s in-house professional development programs, other industry training programs, and formal academic study. Credit hours can also be earned by being an active volunteer in IAAPA, for example, by serving on a committee or subcommittee.
