Attractions Safety Awareness Week

The attractions industry in the United States is very safe. In an effort to showcase the industry’s safety record and diligence and to educate the public about how they can safely enjoy our attractions, IAAPA has established an industry-wide “Attractions Safety Awareness Week” May 29-June 6, 2010.

The week will take a multi-faceted educational approach to informing legislators and the public about amusement park safety practices. IAAPA has prepared a Safety Week “tool-kit” for members to use as a guide for planning their week, but ultimately individual members will determine the extent to which their facilities are involved.

If you need help planning your event, we are here to help! Just contact us!

A program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited ChildrenĀ®, the goal of Take 25 is to heighten awareness about children’s safety issues. On May 25, parents and guardians are encouraged to spend 25 minutes talking to their kids about safety in the home and in the community. IAAPA encourages its members to get the word out to guests about the Take 25 program. Minutes of prevention can make a huge impact. For ideas and tips, visit the Take 25 website.
