IAAPA Rookies and Newcomers

Where the Business of Fun Gets Done!

Imagine the knowledge you will receive as more than a dozen experts in Family Entertainment Center (FEC) management share their insights and experiences in how to develop, plan and, run an FEC.

R
ookies and Newcomers:  FEC 101 is a comprehensive basic program for those thinking of entering this industry as an FEC operator, or for those who may want to expand their network and critical thinking on expansion or change. The two day program looks at everything from researching your market to how to conduct day-to-day operations.

Being connected to the right people is an invaluable part of this experience.  We have a very welcoming industry, and by starting your experience in a smaller group - you will meet others who can help you avoid inevitable pitfalls; and who can lend support to your new ideas.  We provide a great mix of educational experiences, including both roundtable discussions and lectures.

Your registration includes a welcome reception Saturday afternoon, where you will meet the faculty and other participants, this is hosted at the newest FEC on International Drive; Main Event.  Following a full day in the classroom on Sunday, you will board a bus to  join other FEC operators and suppliers for an Edu-tour to Fun Spot America.  We meet in the classroom again on Monday morning, and by noon the formal education for Rookies and Newcomers:  FEC 101 will be wrapped up.  We celebrate with VIP seating at Monday's lunch and learn with Bob White, COO, Village Roadshow Theme Parks.   The FEC Reception on  Monday night at the Hyatt Hotel, is a great place to network with your new friends; and mingle with other FEC operators from around the world.

Participation in this course will help you on your way to becoming an IAAPA Certified Attractions Manager!  Learn more about  IAAPA certification.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact:  Leslie Hutcheson.  Leslie can be reached at the IAAPA global headquarters in Orlando, Florida.
