Euro Attractions Show (EAS)-2008 Munich, Germany

What:

Euro Attractions Show (EAS)–2008 Munich, Germany, the premier conference and trade show for the amusement and attractions industry in Europe, will take place at the Messe Munich International in Munich, Germany, 30 September – 2 October, 2008.

The Euro Attractions Show (EAS) moves from winter to fall, and this year the show will take place in conjunction with Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich, Germany. See the latest products, trends, and technologies in the attractions and leisure industry.

Who:

EAS participants will enjoy networking events with industry leaders and colleagues and unparalleled education sessions with renowned speakers from all facility types, while experiencing the fun and excitement of Oktoberfest.

Attendees will come from more than 65 countries and nearly 250 exhibitors will display new rides, products, and services from the attractions industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers on more than 8,000 net square meters of exhibit space.

The EAS Gala - Oktoberfest Style: The Gala will take place in one of  the world-famous beer tents at Oktoberfest, Paulaner Beer Tent

1 October from 15.30 – 23.30

Ticket cost is 95€, and includes special seating, Bavarian Oktoberfest food and drink, and entertainment.

Educational sessions, behind-the-scene tours, and keynote addresses will offer a variety of quality learning opportunities for attractions industry professionals.

Authenticity: What Consumers Really Want

EAS opens with a dynamic presentation with featured speaker Joe Pine, internationally acclaimed author, speaker, and management advisor. Mr. Pine will discuss his latest book, “Authenticity: What Consumers Really Want,” and will highlight how businesses must understand what it means to “render authenticity” in their consumer offerings and outreach.

Ode to Joy: The State of the European Attractions Industry

David Camp (Economic Research Associates, USA) moderates this session as Mr. Richard Golding, CEO, Parques Reunidos, and Roland Mack, Managing Director, Europa Park, discuss the current state of the leisure industry in Europe and its future direction, the impact of technology and the Internet on the industry, how to satisfy changing consumer trends, the increasing brand consciousness of consumers, and how to provide value for money.

Five Golden Rules for Attractions

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) will explore

fundamentals of the attractions business led by a panel of industry designers

and operators.

Travel and Hotel:

Euro Attractions Show (EAS) is owned by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), and has evolved into Europe’s largest event dedicated to the attractions industry. EASis managed by IAAPA's European operations, under the direction of the EAS Board and the European Advisory Committee. The EAS Board and the European Advisory Committee are made up of European Association Amusement Supplier Industry (EAASI) and IAAPA members from Europe. IAAPA is a non-profit organization. Funds generated for the association by its involvement in trade shows and other activities are returned to the association to fund services for its members and the industry.
