Disney’s Meg Crofton To Present Keynote Address At IAAPA Attractions Expo 2007 GM And Owners Breakfast

(USA) - Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney Resort, will present the keynote address, “Creating The Year of a Million Dreams and the Future Disney Park Experience” at the General Managers and Owners Breakfast, on Wednesday, Nov.14 at 8:30 a.m. during the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2007 in Orlando, Fla.  

Ms. Crofton will describe the strategy, challenges and success of The Year of a Million Dreams, the multi-faceted guest experience and marketing campaign created to celebrate the life-long dreams Disney Cast Members create for park and resort guests every day. Ms. Crofton will also share elements of the company’s vision for the future Disney Park experience.

  “Ms Crofton’s speech will challenge and inspire the top executives in attendance,” explained Charlie Bray, president and CEO of IAAPA. “This is going to be a great learning opportunity for industry leaders who are looking for successful programs to implement in their own attractions.”  

As a 27-year Disney veteran, Ms. Crofton has held a wide range of executive leadership roles in human resources, hotel operations and convention sales. Ms. Crofton leads a team of nearly 60,000 Cast Members who deliver Disney’s legendary guest service in four theme parks, two waterparks, 22 resorts, Downtown Disney, Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex and numerous other attractions. In 1992, she led an international task force responsible for opening six resort hotels at Disneyland Resort Paris. Prior to her current role, Ms. Crofton was executive vice president of human resources for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

The General Managers and Owners Breakfast, sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company, CNL Income Company, and SESAC, Inc., will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. in Meeting Room S320 at the Orange County Convention Center. The cost is $85 per person.

The IAAPA Attractions Expo 2007 is the largest conference and trade show for the amusement park and attractions industry in the world.  With its theme “Expand Your Universe” the show will draw an estimated 25,000 people from more than 85 countries from the amusement and leisure industries to the Orange County Convention Center from Monday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Nov. 16. The trade show floor will be open Tuesday, Nov.13 through Friday, Nov.16. IAAPA Attractions Expo 2007 offers a solid week of business and fun. More than 1,000 exhibitors will display their products and services in 500,000 net square feet of exhibit space. The event will also include educational sessions, behind-the-scenes tours, marquee social events and networking opportunities. This is the marketplace where amusement and attraction industry leaders, decision makers and visionaries gather to network, view the latest innovations, and plan for the future.
