Euro Attractions Show Organizers Unveil Discounts and Special Incentives for Exhibitors to Participate in 2008 Shows in Nice and Munich
Exhibitors Save Almost 20 Percent if They Commit to Participating in Both Shows Before 1 June
Shows Target Separate Buying Cycles for 2008 and 2009 Operating Seasons
9 April 2007 – Today, executives from the European Association Amusement Supplier Industry (EAASI) and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced several incentives for exhibitors to participate in both the Euro Attractions Show (EAS) in Nice, France, 23-25 January 2008 and in EAS in Munich, Germany, 30 September – 2 October 2008.
Discounts and Special Incentives
The standard rate for exhibit space for both EAS in Nice and Munich is €165 per square metre for EAASI and IAAPA members and members of EAS-supporting organisations. However, if exhibitors sign booth contracts, submit 25-percent deposits, and commit to exhibiting in both Nice and Munich, they can acquire exhibit space at both shows for only €135 per square metre, a savings of almost 20 percent at each show. In addition, in Nice, there is a large outdoor fairground space available to exhibitors at an even greater reduced rate.
Exhibitors who commit to booth space at both shows will also receive the following added benefits:
- Enhanced exibitor listing on the EAS website for both shows
- An expanded listing in the trade show programs for both shows
- Additional VIP passes and Welcome Reception tickets for important customers for both shows
- Priority placement of booth space in Munich
In Nice, the show will be held in the Acropolis Congress and Exhibition Centre which features 6,500 net square metres of exhibit space. Show organizers predict exhibit space could sell out early for the show.
Shows Target Separate Buying Cycles for Parks and Attractions Managers
The January show in Nice gives amusement park and attractions owners and operators the opportunity to purchase exciting new attractions, innovative new products, and consulting services for the 2008 operating season. The fall show in Munich gives attractions professionals a chance to make important buying decisions for the 2009 operating season. It will take place in the new Munich Trade Fair Centre from 30 September through 2 October in conjunction with Oktoberfest.
Show Organizers Optimistic About New Opportunities
“EAS is the premier attractions trade show in Europe. It’s the show where business deals are made and I think the record attendance at the 2007 show in Seville emphasizes that point,” said EASSI President Wieland Schwazkopf. “We realize that having two shows in one calendar year is unusual, but we made the decision based on a great deal of input from a number of attendees and exhibitors and are looking forward to two unique, but equally successful shows.”
IAAPA President Charlie Bray is also enthusiastic about the opportunities presented by the shows in Nice and Munich. “We listened to both the buyers and exhibitors. Both groups wanted to see EAS in the fall and 2008 is the year of transition,” Bray said. “We plan to build on the success of the January 2007 show in Seville with the show in Nice and open additional buying and selling opportunities with the fall show in Munich.”
The shows in Nice and Munich will both feature unparalleled educational programs for parks and attractions managers. The combined resources of IAAPA and EAASI, along with all the supporting associations throughout Europe, allow show organisers to present an educational program unmatched by any other related industry trade show in Europe. “We have access to experts from throughout Europe - and the world for that matter - and that’s what makes our education program the draw that it is for attractions mangers and owners throughout Europe,” Bray added.
A number of industry meetings and a variety of networking events for industry professionals will also take place at the shows in Nice and Munich.
About EAS
EAS attendees include owners, general managers, and operators of amusement and theme parks, family entertainment centres, waterparks, and carnivals. Additional attendees represent fairs, exhibitions, zoos, aquariums, museums, science centres, stadiums, arenas, campgrounds, national parks, casinos, resorts, shopping centres, and retailers.
More than 270 exhibitors showcase their original and exciting amusement park rides, inflatable attractions, high-tech products, theme park treats, costumed characters, and much, much more at the Euro Attractions Shows.
The Euro Attractions Show was hosted by Vienna, Austria, in January 2005 and 2006 and by Seville, Spain, in January 2007. EAS will continue to move to different cities in Europe following the 2008 shows in Nice and Munich.
EAS is co-hosted by two leading attractions and supplier trade associations: the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and the European Association Amusement Supplier Industry (EAASI).
