IAAPA Announces 2006 Must-See Waterparks Award Winners

ATLANTA (Nov. 16, 2006) – The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced today the winners of its Must-See Waterparks awards program, which recognizes outstanding waterparks around the world. Winning parks provided visitors with a unique and memorable experience, and came through a comprehensive judging process that considered the quality of guest service, operations, or safety. Two waterparks were recognized at tonight’s Waterpark Social and Must See- Waterparks awards. Wet ‘N Wild Orlando is one of this year’s recipients and offers customers a large variety of multi-passenger and family rides including their latest attraction, Disco H20. Open year round, Wet ‘N Wild Orlando was the world’s first waterpark and has been voted as America’s No. 1 amusement park by Amusement Business magazine. Wild Wadi Water Park is the other recipient of this year’s 2006 Must-See Waterparks and is the only themed waterpark located in Dubai, United Arab Emigrates. Wild Wadi Water Park has a fully integrated cashless point of sales system and 30 attractions which include gravity defying rides as well as attractions the whole family can enjoy.
