IAAPA Announces 2006 Top FECs of the World Award Winners
ATLANTA (Nov. 16, 2006) – The International
Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced today
the winners of its Top FECs of the World awards program recognizing
the global industry’s best family entertainment centers. Winners came
through a comprehensive judging process that considered operational
efficiency, décor & ambience,
marketing savvy and managerial performance. Adventure Park USA,
a family owned western-themed FEC located in New Market, Md. is one
of this year’s winners recognized today at the FEC reception and Top
FECs of the World awards. Adventure Park USA offers customers a wide
range of attractions to choose from including laser tag, paintball,
mini golf, go-karts, ropes courses, rock wall and so much more. Kidzania
is the other winner of this year’s Top FEC of the World Awards because
they have found a unique way to combine education and entertainment
by using role-playing as a tool to teach children what it’s like to
be an adult by creating child-sized replicas of real life experiences.
Kidzania is located in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, and provides children
with the opportunity to explore over 60 careers as well as be an active
consumer in a city specifically designed for them and resembles a large
city and working economy.
