Europe’s Premier Attractions Show Hosts Special Events and a Tour to Enhance Program Offerings

The Euro Attractions Show 2006, being held 3-5 February 2006, will offer a tour and two special events to its attendees.  Being held at the Messe Wien in Vienna, Austria, EAS 2006 is the premier expo for the amusement, leisure and attractions industry in Europe as it welcomes amusement and theme parks, carnivals, fairs and showmen, family entertainment centers, water parks, zoos and aquariums, museums and science centers, stadiums and arenas, campgrounds, casinos and gaming, shopping centers and retailers, and more. 

Special opportunities for attendees include a tour of the Schönbrunn Palace, the EAS Welcome Reception and the EAS Gala at the Vienna Rathaus. 

The Schönbrunn Palace is known as one of the most important cultural monuments in Austria.  Its stunning Baroque architecture and engaging history draws approximately 1.5 million visitors annually.   On Friday, 3 February 2006, EAS will take attendees to this unique attraction to see the building from professional attraction operators’ perspectives.  Throughout the tour focuses will educate attendees about the staff’s ability to market this unique building, facilitate large tour groups, operate food and beverage and retail outlets, all while balancing the needs of a historically important building with the demands of being a 21st century attraction.  Age restriction: must be 16 years or older. The EAS Welcome Reception is a place to meet and network with industry peers and leaders.  An evening of food, fun and conversation to celebrate the opening of EAS 2006 will take place at the convention center, Friday, 3 February 2006, 18:30 – 20:30.  Free to all EAS registrants.

For the second year, EAS 2006 will host its exquisite gala at the Vienna Rathaus.  As home to many famous Viennese Balls, the Vienna Rathaus is a beautiful and historic setting to enjoy a ball the Viennese way.  The 2005 Gala was a sold-out event, and 2006’s should not be missed.  The Gala will be held, Saturday, 4 February 2006, 19:00 – 23:30.  Ticket price: Є75.00

With 9,000 square meters of exhibit space and more than 250 exhibitors, EAS 2006 offers the only comprehensive range of product categories, educational sessions, renowned keynote sessions, and networking opportunities available in Europe.  EAS 2005 welcomed more than 7,200 attendees to the four-day event, which featured 250 exhibitors spread over more than 8,600 net square meters of space, a comprehensive educational program, and several popular special events.
