IAAPA’s Ticket for Fun Receives Honors

 

ALEXANDRIA, VA (USA) (Sep. 23, 2005) - The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attraction’s received two awards for its consumer campaign, Ticket For Fun, the association announced today.

“The ‘Ticket For Fun’ website has received more than 1.8 million visitors in 2005 and provides valuable consumer information about parks and attractions worldwide,” said J. Clark Robinson, IAAPA president and CEO.  “Seeing the campaign win two awards demonstrates we are presenting a solid and exciting message.”

The two awards were received through the American Corporate Identity/21 Competition and Creativity 35 Competition.  The American Corporate Identity/21 Competition is a showcase for the best graphic design work in the area of corporate identity in the United States.   The Creativity 35 Competition recognized Ticket For Fun for outstanding publication design amongst entries from 40 states and 31 countries.   Both competitions produce publications which will highlight Ticket For Fun’s campaign components. 

Ticket For Fun was developed in 2004 to serve consumers as an information resource on traveling to amusement parks and attractions.  The web site, www.ticketforfun.com, contains a worldwide database of amusement parks and attractions, industry news and promotions, fun facts and safety tips.  In November 2005 the Ticket For Fun campaign will debut a mascot character to be named by the public and online children’s game pages.  The Ticket For Fun campaign was developed in partnership with Dever Designs of Laurel, Maryland, USA.
