Education and Meetings Executive Joins IAAPA
ALEXANDRIA (Nov. 11, 2005) - The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions ( IAAPA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Pamela E. Magnani as its Vice President of Education, Professional Development and Training Services.
Magnani brings close to 20 years association meetings and education experience to IAAPA. In her role, Magnani will oversee the development and creation of education programs and products for the Association and its three tradeshows—Euro Amusement Show, IAAPA Asian Expo and IAAPA Attractions Expo.
“Pam will be a key role in ensuring cutting-edge programs will be available to IAAPA’s constituents,” said J. Clark Robinson, IAAPA President and CEO. “As our industry continually evolves, we look to Pam to create programs that will enable our members to remain competitive, informed and savvy.”
Most recently, Magnani served in a role similar to her new IAAPA position at the American Gastroenterological Association/Foundation for Digestive Health and Nutrition. As AGA’s Vice President of Education and Meetings for 10 years, Magnani managed more than 75 meetings and education offerings every year.
Magnani is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor of science in marketing. She also serves on advisory councils for Convention, Tourism and Visitor’s Bureaus in San Diego, California, Chicago, Illinois, and Washington, D.C.
