Asia’s Largest Amusement And Attractions-Oriented Show Takes Attendees beyond Conference Hall Walls for Education
ALEXANDRIA, VA (USA) (Apr. 28, 2005) - The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions ( IAAPA) will offer educational tours at two of Hong Kong’s premier attractions during the IAAPA Asian Expo 2005 Conference and Exhibition (July 12-15, 2005 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre). Each tour will provide a firsthand glimpse into the success of the amusement and attractions industry in the Asian marketplace.
Conference attendees can choose to visit Madame Toussauds/Victoria’s Peak on Thursday, July 14 or Ocean Park on Friday, July 15. Each tour costs US$25.
Attendees will experience both sides of the curtain at Madame Toussauds (www.madame-tussauds.com.hk), the famous brand known to thrill audiences with its life-like wax figures of celebrities and legendary icons. Located at the top of Victoria’s Peak, guests will ride The Peak tram for a spectacular view of Hong Kong before being whisked away by the attraction’s operations staff for a back stage tour guaranteed to be memorable.
At Ocean Park (www.oceanpark.com.hk), Hong Kong’s unique homegrown theme park, attendees will see how one of the world’s top marine-based theme parks operates behind the scenes. Inside views of the park’s safety and maintenance facility, world class aquarium and retail and food operations will illustrate how Asia’s seventh most-attended park successfully offers thrill rides and sensational shows to innovative education and conservation programs.
The on-site tours are an additional component to the diverse educational sessions offered to business leaders and decision-makers attending the world’s largest Asian tradeshow for the amusement and attractions industry.
“We are excited to offer our conference attendees the unique blend of education, training, business and fun at our Expos,” said J. Clark Robinson, IAAPA President and CEO. “Visiting Madame Toussauds or Ocean Park is a wonderful opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment that we hope our attendees will take full advantage of.”
