Amusement Industry Announces Development of New Consumer Website, TICKETFORFUN.COM
Informative Site Will Debut in Late May
ALEXANDRIA, VA (USA) (May 5, 2004) – The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced the development of TicketForFun.com today, a web site designed to provide consumers with the information they need to easily plan and enjoy visits to the world's amusement parks and attractions.
TicketForFun.com will debut on May 21 in time for the traditional summer travel season. Visitors can go to TicketForFun.com today and sign up to receive an announcement of the site's launch and a summary of its many features.
TicketForFun.com is the industry's first, official compilation of amusement park, theme park and attraction information, presented in an easy-to-use format. The cornerstone of the site will be a map of the United States where travelers can click on their chosen destination and discover information (including web links) about amusement parks and attractions.
The site will also provide helpful tips for enhancing amusement park and water park visits, fun facts about the $10.3 billion amusement park industry, and a list of new rides and attractions for 2004.
"TicketForFun.com will be a great tool for families as they plan their vacations," said Clark Robinson, IAAPA's President. "Instead of visiting dozens of websites, reading countless travel guides, and spending more time planning a vacation than actually traveling-consumers can now visit one website and easily plan a memorable trip to a park or attraction."
The May 21, 2004 debut of TicketForFun.com will feature the first stage of the industry's comprehensive consumer campaign. In the future, IAAPA will expand TicketForFun.com to provide additional information, such as interactive features for children and more information on parks and attractions worldwide.
