IAAPA to Partner with International Artist to Help Give Kids the World

ALEXANDRIA, VA. USA (Oct. 22, 2003) – Internationally recognized impressionist painter Kay Kandra is donating an original 22" x 30" watercolor painting and subsequent prints to the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions' annual convention and trade show in Orlando to raise funds for Give-Kids-The-World (GKTW).

The retail value of the painting is expected to be in the $3000-$4000 range for the children's charity that benefits kids with life-threatening illnesses who visit the Give Kids The World Village each year in Kissimmee, Florida. GKTW is a non-profit resort that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Wish-granting organizations coordinate transportation to Orlando, while GKTW provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, attractions tickets and meals for a weeklong fantasy vacation. On September 30, 2003 GKTW welcomed its 60,000 family to the Village since 1986.

Each of the approximately 250 finished watercolor prints including matte and presentation sleeves will retail for $100.
