IAAPA Webinar: The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Are you ready?

  • Dates: 15 – 15 Feb, 2018
On 25 May 2018 the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes in to force. This regulation brings new rules for the protection of personal data and the free movement of such data. It will offer people a prominent level of protection of their personal data and truly empower them to control their data.

All organizations that process the personally identifiable information of EU residents will need to adhere to the new rules. The GDPR supersedes national data protection laws (in all EU Member States) and will apply to every organization in the world that does business with EU residents.

Since the regulation could potentially impose heavy fines for companies who neglect or infringe the GDPR (up to 4% of annual global turnover of your company or €20 million, whichever is higher), it is best to be ready.

IAAPA has teamed up with Alexander Whalen, Policy Director - EMEA at BSA, The Software Alliance, to bring you this hands-on guide to explain the basics and answer all your questions during this 1 hour webinar, free to all IAAPA members.

A questions and answer session will follow the webinar
