Top Attractions Industry Executives Learn How Dubai Attractions Deliver Exceptional Guests Experiences During IAAPA Leadership Conference 2015

(April 17, 2015) – One hundred and seventy-four top attractions industry professionals from 28 countries toured many of Dubai’s world-renowned facilities and heard top leisure industry executives explain how the region drives business through a culture of exceptional customer service and incredible guest experiences during IAAPA Leadership Conference 2015. The conference took place 10-12 March in one of the world’s burgeoning leisure industry markets: Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Seven Behind-the-Scenes Tours of the Region’s Premier Attractions

Conference attendees toured seven area attractions to see firsthand how to build great customer experiences by defining a strategy, integrating technology, taking a disciplined approach to brand management, and ensuring staff commitment to excellence. Facilities toured include: Atlantis, The Palm; At the Top, Burj Khalifa; Ferrari World Abu Dhabi; the under-construction IMG Worlds of Adventure; Ski Dubai; Wild Wadi Waterpark; and Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi.

Keynote speaker Gerald Lawless, president and group chief executive officer of Jumeirah Group; Yousuf Lootah, executive director of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM); and Matthew Priddy, chief technical officer at Dubai Parks and Resorts were among executives who shared insights at IAAPA Leadership Conference 2015.

Lawless spoke on 10 March at the Jumeirah Emirates Tower, and provided his views on the importance of tourism in Dubai, steps the Jumeirah Group takes to train colleagues to provide excellent customer service, and the need to retain employees and maintain their happiness once they have joined the company.

Lootah and Priddy, who presented at the Atlantis Resort 11 March, spoke about the goal of Dubai to attract 20 million annual visitors, and the design, engineering, and production of shows and rides at three of Dubai Parks and Resorts’ multibillion-dollar theme park projects, respectively.
