Registration Now Open for FEC Dallas 2015

Event Features High-Energy Education Sessions, Keynote Speaker, Networking, and Facility Post-Tour

(Nov. 4, 2014) – Registration is now open for FEC Dallas 2015, which will take place Feb. 8-10, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. With its theme “Share. Engage. Grow.”, FEC Dallas 2015 will provide family entertainment center (FEC) owners, operators, manufacturers, and suppliers from around the world the ideal venue to share information and best practices in engaging sessions and events to learn successful strategies and grow their profits. Other program highlights include a keynote address by famed entrepreneur and author Brandon Steiner and an event post-tour to Dallas-area FECs.    

FEC Dallas 2015 is a conference for FEC operators by FEC operators and offers leaders in the family entertainment center industry more than 30 hours of interactive learning, networking, and visits to local facilities. The high-energy education sessions will provide insights into key operational and revenue –generating areas including marketing, social media, food and beverage, redemption games, and more. A complete schedule and details of the education sessions will be announced in the coming months.

Keynote speaker Brandon Steiner began his career more than 30 years ago in the hospitality industry, including stints at the Hard Rock Café and the Sporting Club in New York City. He often hired athletes as guest bartenders for charity events and, in so doing, recognized a revenue-generating opportunity related to celebrity appearances, autograph signings, and showcasing sports memorabilia. In 1987, he started Steiner Associates, known today as Steiner Sports, and with $4,000, one-room, and one intern, he built a company that today generates $40 million annually and employs 100 people. During Steiner’s career he has represented many of New York’s high-profile athletes and has partnerships with teams like the Yankees and Notre Dame. He is also the author of “The Business Playbook: Leadership Lessons from the World of Sport.”

A post-tour event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. Attendees will visit four area FECs: Amazing Jakes, SpeedZone, iT'Z, and Celebration Station to tour and discuss food and beverage services, revenue operations, ride and attraction maintenance, and group sales activities. This will be the third consecutive year IAAPA has offered the high-energy professional development FEC conference. The event has previously been held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Phoenix, Arizona.
