New Facility Tours and Networking Opportunities Highlight AAE 2013

Marine Life Park, Legoland Malaysia, Puteri Harbour Family Theme Parks, and Universal Studios Singapore Among Event Destinations

(March 27, 2013) – Tours of brand-new facilities, exciting receptions, engaging forums, and other exclusive casual and professional networking opportunities await more than 5,000 attractions industry professionals from more than 60 countries at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) 2013, 4 – 7 June, in the Sands Expo and Convention Center at the Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore.

This year’s four-day schedule of special networking events includes a reception at recently opened Marine Life Park and behind-the-scenes tours of other new parks such as Legoland Malaysia and Puteri Harbour Family Theme Parks. Guests will also experience a behind-the-scenes tour of Universal Studios Singapore, which has debuted two new attractions in the past year and a half.

AAE 2013 will kick-off with the Opening Night event at the new, multi-attraction Marine Life Park at Resorts World Sentosa. Reception attendees will make business connections while experiencing S.E.A. Aquarium, one of the world’s largest oceanariums, and Adventure Cove Waterpark.

Attendees can also network as they tour the 76-acre Legoland Malaysia and Sanrio Hello Kitty Town, the Little Big Club, and Lat’s Place – owned by Puteri Harbour Family Theme Parks. Universal Studios Singapore will open exclusively to AAE 2013 participants before guests arrive for a behind-the-scenes tour of the park’s newest additions, “Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle” and “Sesame Street: Spaghetti Space Chase.”

In addition, owners, CEOs, directors, and managers will sit side-by-side while listening to IAAPA Leadership Breakfast keynote speaker Tom Mehrmann, Chief Executive of Ocean Park Corp., as he discusses the leadership traits and core values he draws upon as an industry executive.

Meanwhile, the Young Professionals Forum enables attractions industry professionals under the age of 35 to meet one another, establish business relationships, and learn from industry veterans, including Franceen Gonzales, Vice President, Risk Management, Great Wolf Resorts and Shaun McKeogh, Director of Human Resources and Training, Management Resources & ProFun Management Group.

Post-Event Tour
AAE 2013 networking opportunities continue after the Expo with the post-event tour of Bali Safari and Marine Park, 8-10 June. The tour will provide an in-depth look into the park's mission of conservation, education, and recreation. Participants will experience shows, guided tours, and view more than 50 animal species, including Sumatran elephants, Sumatran tigers, white tigers, leopards, and cheetahs.

Registration for the post-event tour to Bali, Indonesia, is separate from AAE 2013. The fee includes two nights lodging, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners; however, airfare is not included in the cost. Additional information is available at
