Stand Rock Hospitality Names COO

Josef Haas is now executive vice president and chief operating officer for Stand Rock Hospitality, an indoor water park resort and hotel development and management company headquartered in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

In the role, he will oversee the operations of several hotel and resort properties including Wilderness at the Smokies in Sevierville, Tennessee, and Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark Resort in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania. Hass has more than 40 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry on three continents, including the launch of four indoor water park resorts from pre-construction through grand opening. 


Park President Change for Two Six Flags Locations

Six Flags Entertainment named Jeffrey Siebert  the new park president of Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, taking over for Neal Thurman, who becomes park president at Six Flags Great Adventure & Hurricane Harbor in New Jersey. Siebert has served as marketing director of Six Flags Fiesta Texas since 2012.


Turner Pacific Asia Emphasizes Location-Based Entertainment with New Position

Eric Lee has been appointed by Turner Pacific Asia to lead its growing location-based entertainment (LBE) business for the Asia region in the new position of LBE director. He will identify opportunities to develop consumer experiences at water parks, theme parks, and branded retail and entertainment spaces. These settings utilize Cartoon Network’s global kids’ IPs such as The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, and We Bare Bears, and also Turner’s other youth-focused brands like Tuzki. Turner said Lee’s appointment demonstrates its commitment to developing more LBE initiatives in the Asia region. 


Amber Collier

Amber Collier was recently hired by Intercard Inc., which specializes in cash management solutions for the amusement and casino industries, to focus on U.S. domestic sales. In this newly created position, she will focus on U.S.-based business opportunities, a market where Intercard has experienced significant growth in the past three years. Collier began her family entertainment center career in 2009 as president and owner of The Zone Family Fun Center in Kalispell, Montana, then later worked for Apex Parks Group as general manager of Boomers in Fresno, California. 


Tony Moore

Former Lowry Park Zoo, SeaWorld, and Universal Orlando executive Tony Moore has been named park director of A Gathering Place for Tulsa, a large new experiences-and-activities park in Oklahoma. He was selected for his 30 years of experience in operations, health and safety, finance, and marketing. 


Bala Cherukooru

Timezone Group and Helix Leisure Group announced the appointment of Bala Cherukooru to the newly created position of new store and operations development director at Timezone Australia, based in Sydney. Cherukooru moves from his previous post as general manager of Helix Leisure Group in Singapore. Cherukooru started with Timezone on Australia’s Gold Coast in 2004, then held multiple positions with Helix Leisure Group from 2008 to present.
