Submit a holiday picture of your facility and it could be featured on IAAPA's holiday e-card to its worldwide membership. All images will be displayed in a holiday section on IAAPA.org. One photo per company! Images can be from any year but should comply with IAAPA's safe rider guidelines (no hands in the air). Deadline Nov. 25. Submit now.

Attractions use immersion, interactivity to draw guests
Immersion and interactivity in attractions are what attendees of the IAAPA Attractions Expo were looking for to draw guests. Among the coming attractions with these features are "Justice League: Battle For Metropolis" at Six Flags over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri, "Voyage to the Iron Reef" at California's Knott's Berry Farm, "Slide Boarding" at some Wet 'n' Wild parks and a customizable interactive dark ride made by Holovis. Details of "Switchback" at ZDT's Amusement Park in Texas revealed
"Switchback," a wooden shuttle coaster with a locomotive theme, will launch next summer at ZDT's Amusement Park in Seguin, Texas. The Gravity Group LLC-designed ride, which was announced during the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2014, will travel at a peak speed of 45 miles per hour and include a 1,900-foot track with a 62-foot drop. Wonderla to invest Rs 300 crore for Chennai, India, theme park
Wonderla Holidays will build a Rs 300 crore theme park in Chennai, India. The 70-acre park will begin construction when the firm finishes its facility in Hyderabad. "About 10% of revenues to our Bangalore park comes from people who travel from Chennai, and we also had a lot of customers asking us to open one in Chennai," said Arun Chittilappilly, the firm's managing director. Kabul City Park brings happiness to Afghans despite ongoing war
Families are enjoying a recently opened amusement park called Kabul City Park in Afghanistan, a country that has been at war for more than three decades. "Riptide" coming to Blue Harbor Resort and Spa in Wisconsin
Breaker Bay Waterpark at Blue Harbor Resort and Spa in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, will unveil the "Riptide" double surf simulator Dec. 17. Construction of the $1.7 million attraction manufactured by Flowrider began in July. The park will also add The Wheelhouse bar, which offers views of the attraction via a glass window. Crews continue to work on Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark in Pennsylvania
The Texlon transparent roof installation is nearly finished at Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. The $163 million project at Camelback Mountain Resort is expected to be completed in March. The development will offer 13 water slides, seven pools and water attractions such as a lazy river, a surf simulator, a wave pool, a water coaster, indoor game space, a hotel, restaurants, retail space and a conference center. Kidzania Manila, Philippines, partners with Cebu Pacific Air
KidZania Manila, which opens in Bonifacio Global City, Philippines, early next year, will feature a Cebu Pacific Air aviation academy. The attraction will teach children about the job of a flight attendant and a pilot. Sports park with mini-golf course will open in Brevard County, Florida
The Brevard Field of Dreams Special Needs Sports Park in Florida will launch its first phase in June. The $4 million, 4.8-acre project will receive a $300,000 allocation after gaining the county's tourism council's approval last week. The complex will include a three-hole mini-golf, a basketball court, soccer and baseball fields, playgrounds, a picnic pavilion and a concession building. Bighorn sheep at California's Los Angeles Zoo dies after escape on Saturday
The Los Angeles Zoo in California is trying to determine how a bighorn sheep escaped her enclosure and the zoo Saturday. The female sheep was tranquilized in a Loz Feliz neighborhood but later died, with witnesses saying the animal was hit by a car. A necropsy will be done on the sheep to determine exactly why she died, zoo spokeswoman April Spurlock said. Riverside Discovery Center in Nebraska mourns death of zebra foal
Riverside Discovery Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, announced the death of its zebra foal, Olaf. The zoo said the animal died due to a "catastrophic accident" while it was being prepared to undergo castration, a routine procedure for animals not entering a breeding program.
