Blue Man Group Co-Founder Matt Goldman to Deliver Keynote Address at GM & Owners' Breakfast on Nov. 18

Blue Man Group to Make Special Appearance


Alexandria, Virginia (United States) – Matt Goldman, co-founder of Blue Man Group, will be the keynote speaker at the General Managers and Owners’ Breakfast at IAAPA Attractions Expo 2009. The event will take place from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the Renaissance Ballroom at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, which is adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Giving Goldman an unprecedented introduction, Blue Man Group performers will make a special appearance at the breakfast.

Blue Man Group
Blue Man Group, a collaboration between Goldman and longtime friends Chris Wink and Phil Stanton, first performed off-Broadway at Astor Place Theater in 1991, where the production continues today. Since then, the group has expanded worldwide to Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, Zurich, Tokyo, and Orlando at Universal Orlando Resort. Blue Man Group’s performances feature three men covered in blue grease paint and combines theatrics, humor, and social commentary with multimedia components like percussion, music, paint, lights, and mime. The group has grown into a multi-dimensional creative organization, developing and producing rock tours, television shows, albums, DVDs, film scores, children's musical instruments, and children's museum exhibits.

GM and Owners' Breakfast
Blue Man Group has a mission of always providing customers with a fresh experience, whether they’re newcomers or returning guests. Goldman will address this focus in his remarks and explain how the group continues to create original entertainment. He will also address the unique marketing tactics used for unconventional attractions like his own.

During the breakfast, the IAAPA Service Awards will be presented, honoring members who have made a lasting impact on IAAPA and the industry.

About Matt Goldman
Matt Goldman received a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. He continues to be involved at the school, most notably launching and sitting on the Board of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship program. After college, Goldman worked for seven years at Omni Resources, a start-up software services company. In the late 1980s, he formed the partnership with Wink and Stanton and created Blue Man Group.
