IAAPA News: IAAPA Leadership Conference 2014 Focuses on How Attractions Managers Can Leverage Their Stories to Drive Business

Guided Tour of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to Highlight Importance of Bond Between an Attraction and Its Guests

(February 24, 2014) – IAAPA Leadership Conference 2014 will focus on how attractions professionals can find, create, and tell their company’s story to form a lasting connection with their guests that can drive their business in to the future. Leaders from the global attractions industry will convene for the conference March 5-7 in San Francisco, California, to learn firsthand how several attractions, including Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California, utilize their stories. During guided tours of the park, conference attendees will hear how guest connections are created and what those connections have meant for Six Flags’ business.

The tour of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will feature experiences that help the animal adventure and theme park establish a bond with its guests, educating attendees about the back-of-house work required to make it all happen. Conference participants will hear insights from Park President Don McCoy and Six Flags Regional Vice President Tom Iven, experience up-close animal interactions, get a behind-the-scenes look at select attractions, and more.
