The IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 Trade Show Floor:
Where New Products Debut and Business Changing Ideas are Born
(October 5, 2012) – From Nov. 12 through Nov. 16, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) will welcome an estimated 25,000 attendees and 1,100 exhibiting companies to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. for IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 – the premier conference and trade show for the worldwide amusement park and attractions industry.
The trade show floor will be the focal point of the event and the place where attractions owners, CEOs, and managers will test, taste, try, and buy innovative products in hopes of taking their business to new heights.
Products in more than 90 product categories, including; rides, shows, midway games, inflatables, play equipment, novelties, souvenirs, food and beverage will cover nearly 480,000 square feet of exhibit space.
"The who’s who of the worldwide attractions industry will gather in Orlando for IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 to find the next big idea in our industry,” said Chip Cleary, IAAPA President and CEO. “The trade show floor is where industry professionals can see those potentially business-changing ideas come to life."
New on the Trade Show Floor
One of the most notable changes to the trade show floor is the presence of the IAAPA Theatre presented by The Wanda Group. The addition of the theatre to the trade show floor gives attendees of the expo’s marquee events, the Kickoff Event, Opening Reception, GM and Owners’ Breakfast, and the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards, an easy transition to and from the trade show floor before and after each event.
Also new this year, IAAPA will introduce its IAAPA Attractions Expo mobile app, ExpoNavigator. Participants can use the app to create a personalized agenda, access a detailed exhibitor listing and map, customize an exhibitor list, receive Expo news, and engage with other attendees and exhibitors, all on their mobile phone. ExpoNavigator, available for both Apple and Android operating systems, can be downloaded in the iTunes app store, the Android marketplace, or from IAAPA at IAAPA.org/mobileapp.
Trade Show Floor Tours
Seven guided trade show floor tours will bring buyers and sellers with specific interests and expertise in the attractions industry together. Tour concentrations available include point-of-sale systems, theming and design, museum suppliers, participatory play providers, show production and entertainment, and inflatable products. Trade Show Floor Resources
During trade show hours, complimentary computer stations and a meeting space will be available to all IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 attendees in the Lounge sponsored by Theme Attractions and Resorts, located adjacent to IAAPA central (Booth 3431).
International attendees are invited to conduct business and relax at the International Business Lounge sponsored by Lo-Q PLC. Business services such as photocopying, faxing, language translation and Internet access will be made available to international attendees.

Intellectual Property Protection
For the first time at IAAPA Attractions Expo, IAAPA’s new intellectual property rights policy will be in effect. The policy takes steps to protect IAAPA members and exhibitors from patent, trademark, and copyright infringements. The new rules, which apply to any activities taking place under the IAAPA umbrella, require companies own the intellectual property of their featured products or have the rights to sell that product on behalf of the owner.
