Aid Need in the Philippines in Wake of Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda)

On Nov. 8, Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) hit the Philippines. One of the strongest storms in the country’s history, Haiyan brought havoc and destruction to the central islands. Preliminary estimates indicate 11 million people have been impacted by the storm and more than 650,000 people have been displaced from their homes. Government officials estimate 2,500 people or more lost their lives in the storm. The country is appealing for aid from throughout the world. Want to help?
